I borrow heavily from the amazing Cassie Stephens, as well as pillaging ideas from pinterest. I want my art room to be inviting and fun for the kids, and also for any of you that are looking :)

Wow! The first week is coming to an end!
This first week, I introduced the students to Wassily Kandinsky, the Russian abstract painter, as we are beginning to learn about lines, shapes, and color. We used these three elements to create our "dream houses" using pencils and crayons on paper. These kids are already proving to be amazing artists, and we haven't even begun to get messy! I am so excited to see what they turn out this year in the art room, stay tuned! |
the teacherMs. Holloway is a native Floridian, although she went to school in Philadelphia, then worked in the mountains of western Montana the last ten years. She is happy to be back in the south inspiring young minds to create amazing works of art to share with the world! Archives
